Multi-millionaire founder of tech site slams San Francisco

Peter Shih certainly didn't leave his heart in San Francisco as he seemed pretty heartless when he published a hate-piece about the city Wednesday on Medium. In a post titled '10 Things I hate About You: San Francisco Edition' the start-up founder counts the many ways he hates the Northern California city: from the 'pathetic excuse' for a public transportation system to the weather which reminds him of a woman 'who is constantly PMSing'. The post has incited so much outrage in the city and online that Shih put up a disclaimer and then eventually deleted the post entirely.
But what you write online lives forever, and there are several screen-grabbed copies of his original post still making the rounds on the internet. Perhaps what's so offensive about the piece is that most of the comments were directed at the city's residents. For example, he takes issues with the city's homeless population, who he describes as 'the craziest homeless people I have ever seen in my life'. 'Stop giving them money, you know they just buy alcohol and drugs with it, right?' Shih writes. 'Next time just hand them a handle of vodka and a pack of cigarettes, it'll save everyone some trouble.' The homeless weren't the only target of Shih's scorn. He's not a fan of the start up 'bros' who only talk shop or the 49ers. No, not the football team, the girls who act like they are '9's' when they are really '4's' 'Just because San Francisco has the worst female to male ratio in the known universe doesn't give you the right to be a b**** all the time,' he complains. And then there's the bicyclists who he threatens to 'clothesline' the next time he sees 'one of you f*****s bomb through a crosswalk'.
